So Much Accomplished

What is better than a weekend when you get a lot accomplished? The range of accomplishment was outstanding as well. Friday and Saturday nights out with friends and Sunday with the family (including my parents). In between parties, sports, crafts fairs and reading my book a bit. Some highlights included… Reading an article in the NY Times today on The Gap. I am a fan of The Gap and when people comprar cialis generico were saying they are dead, I defended them and said~ nope they just had the wrong people there for a little while. Gap is back. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/business/a-humbled-gap-tries-a-fresh-coat-of-pep.html?_r=1 …

Shopping in Between Meetings

This is Gracious Homes in NYC and I am awarding it the Most Amazing Window Award right now. Took my breath away. What a beautiful way to make the mundane look great. These pictures are from LF in Soho~ trendy hot store for years. Amazing, they must love it because their rooms look like this.    Now compare that to this amazing display at Uniqlo~ we also love how they preserved the heritage of the industrial Soho building~ it gets us every time.    Can you guess who is coming to Soho? I almost got hit by a car today and …

Taking the iPlunge

I have on many occasions viagra sales discussed the value of money. One of the things I have discussed on more than one occasion is the fact that I hate (love) technology. It kills me to spend money on technology when I could spend it on shoes or a great bag. Some don't see the value of the shoes~ in the shoes I see fabulousness as well as a long term commitment. I still wear the first pair of Manolo Blahniks I bought with my first bonus on Wall Street (and they still sell them see below the silver version from …

Just Asking

When is the right time to tell the person who buys all the “Target” stuff as we call it that we need something? a) When you open the last jar b) when the last jar is almost finished or c) when you finish the jar and need more and there IS NONE???????  Why oh why can't my family figure this out? On our fridge we leave a wipe board of things to buy. This is primarily groceries which my nanny buys when I am working. However, we also have those Target items (paper towels, laundry detergent, mustard, Pam) that we …

Ranking News

In the same day we had a big news event~ Dick Clark died and then we had this… Madonna's daughter Lola caught smoking. So which one was trending higher? Lola naturally (#1 to DC's #9 at press time). My kids use iChat~ to me this is like the phone. It bugs my husband, he views it as screen time, but to me this is no different than the hours I spent on the phone with my friends. There are two differences, one good one bad. The kids can see what is going on here. When my daughter chats from the …

Spring Cleaning

Delinquent in blogging I know… I have not been out sick or falling down on the job. In fact it is quite the opposite~ just depending on which job you are talking about. My kids were off from school this past week and so while I did get to the mall, write my report (most of it) and email clients I did all of this from my weekend home. Which brings me to my first thought of the day~ Weekend Home as Dumping Ground. We are guilty of this. In fact very guilty of this. Me, the Queen of throw …

Tradeoffs

I am visiting friends and my cell phone does not have good reception in her house. On one hand this is very relaxing. The constant buzz is gone and I don't feel the need to constantly check to see what I am missing. I am in the moment now and not distracted. I do of course have Internet access so the reality is I am not cut off from the world. At one point my phone received 210 emails joy and grief all at once.  One included a link to an article on  The Huffington Post about the work life balance of …

The Beautiful and the Damned

This is why I love spring (aside from the sneezing)~ I love hyacinths and I love the smell when you walk down the street. I love the color. This is why warm weather is so amazing. On the other hand~ spring be damned put on some boots. MEN WHO CHOOSE TO WEAR FLIP-FLOPS OR MANDALS MUST LEARN TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR FEET.  There is no reason to ever~ EVER~ have hairy toes. This is what wax or lasers are for. As for the fungus nail~ guess what they make antibiotics. The dirt…. well I simply have no answer there because we …
